Kevin Lepper Percussion
Percussion Ensemble Selections for grades 1-5
- Grades1 through 5 portraying styles and moods from around the world
- Three levels of difficulty: Beginners, Intermediate and High School
- Solo and EnsembleMusic (from solo snare drum to all percussion instruments).
- For use with the popular Boomwacker instruments used in classroom lessons and performance instruments
- The ensembles are educationally based – reinforce dynamics, phrasing, mood/storyline as well as address ensemble performance issues.
- The ensembles use an array of “standard” percussion equipment that most schools already own.
- The ensembles provide meaningful parts to every player.
- Each part is level specific therefore the emphasis can be put on musicality rather than notes and/or rhythms.
- The ensembles have a storyline which allows the performer to get a visual image as to why the dynamic and/or mood was written.
- The ensembles are fun to perform and audience accessible; great for solo/ensemble contests
- The ensembles allow for part doublings if necessary.
- Idiosyncratic instruments allow the flavor of the piece to be expressed. as well as allow students to learn how to play these very colorful, much used instruments.
